Tanning Bed TipsIf you visit tanning salons, you probably pay quite a bit of money for your sessions. For this reason, it is important that you know tanning bed tips to ensure that you get the best results with each visit. Developing and maintaining a beautiful tan takes more than just getting into a tanning bed! You need tanning bed tips to get the tan that you want! The first and most important tip is to take it easy. Do not rush your tan, or you will regret the consequences! Tan slowly, and adhere to the guidelines set by the tanning bed manufacturer, as well as the tanning salon. These guidelines are determined based on your skin type, and they are meant to protect you and your skin. Don’t tan longer than your recommended tanning time, or have sessions more times per week than recommended – this may help you tan faster, but in the end, it will cause more harm than good. Always wear goggles. Eyelids don’t tan, so don’t worry about tan lines. Purchase your own sets of indoor tanning bed approved goggles, and wear them each and every time you tan. Keep your eyes closed for extra protection as well. The UV rays can – and do – damage the retinas and cause irreversible blindness! Drink plenty of fluid before and after your sessions. No, you won’t be losing fluids by pouring sweat in the tanning bed, so dehydration is not the reason for the fluids. Hydration is the reason. Water not only hydrates the body, it also hydrates the skin. Tanning dries the skin out – even indoor tanning. Drinking plenty of water before and after your sessions will keep your skin – and your tan – looking healthy. There are many lotions and products on the market that claim to slow down the skin aging process – but water actually does slow it down, and it the cheapest way to achieve beautiful skin that there is! Use a good moisturizing lotion after your tan. Again, tanning dries the skin out. The lotion does not have to be expensive – it just needs to be moisturizing. Apply the lotion to every part of your body that was exposed to the UV rays during your session – and even the parts that weren’t! There are lots of tanning bed tips, and many of them are just plain nonsense. The best way to tan is to use good common sense, and to take as many precautions as possible to protect your body and your health. |
