Even though the dealer prices are high, this is where you should start your search. You can accomplish two things by visiting your local dealership to find a discounted tanning bed. First, you can physically see and even try the tanning beds on display to see which bed you want. Second, you can inquire about purchasing a tanning bed from the dealer – at a discounted price.

Many dealers sell their showroom models at a discount. The models may be scratched here or there, but they do work, and they are in excellent shape. However, due to the scratches, the dealer won’t be able to get the full retail value for these beds. They also commonly mark down beds that are being discontinued from a line. When you find a bed that you want at the dealership, even at a discounted price, do not buy it. Leave the store and go home.

Once you arrive at home, get on the Internet, and look for wholesale tanning beds. Look specifically for the make and model that you are interested in. The chances are very good that you will find exactly what you are looking for – brand new, without scratches – for an even lower price than your dealers ‘discounted’ price! When determining if the price is actually cheaper, also figure in shipping costs.

It is important to note that when you purchase discount tanning beds from a wholesale company, the bed will arrive partially assembled. You will need to complete the assembly (there will be directions), and you will be responsible for purchasing and changing your own tanning bed bulbs. None of this is hard, and the savings you will see will make the effort well worth it!
