Commercial Tanning BoothsIf you own commercial tanning booths, there are guidelines that you need to know about and follow. Owners of commercial tanning booths are responsible for the safety and well-being of their customers, and following the proper guidelines helps to ensure that your customers have a happy and safe tanning experience. First, you need to ensure that your tanning booths are well maintained. If possible, do an inspection of the booth after each and every session – before the next customer uses the booth. This will ensure that each customer is getting the best equipment usage possible, and if any damages are done, you will be better able to know who caused the damage. Don’t be afraid to ban those who abuse your expensive equipment! Each booth should be thoroughly cleansed after each use. This cleaning can and should be combined with a routine inspection. Use a sanitizer that is specifically designed for indoor tanning beds, and make sure that you clean every surface of the booth. Inspect the acrylic shields for nicks and scratches which can be harmful to the health of your next client. If there are nicks and scratches, and there is not another booth available, cancel the client’s appointment, and reschedule it for another time. The client may be inconvenienced, but they will be grateful that you are watching out for their well-being. You can make the cancellation a bit easier by offering the next scheduled session for free or for a reduced fee. Get the bed repaired before allowing any clients to use the booth again! Adhere strictly to the recommended tanning times, and make sure that your clients do as well. These guidelines are in place to protect your client’s health. Don’t jeopardize it, or allow them to jeopardize it, by tanning longer than recommended for their skin type. Give each client personalized care and attention, and establish tanning session times that are appropriate for their skin type. Commercial tanning booths can earn the owners a lot of money – but if you don’t care for the well-being of your clients, you won’t be in business for long! Make sure that they know you are paying attention, and that you care. |
